Rules & Regulations

  • Eligibility: • Participation is open to teams but the registration is to be done by individuals (250 per head).
    • Participants must be officially registered for the hackathon.
  • Team Composition: • Teams can consist of a specified number of members (2-4 participants).
    • Each team must have a unique name and is responsible for its own project submission.
  • Code of Conduct: • All participants must adhere to the event's code of conduct and maintain professional behaviour throughout the hackathon.
    • Harassment, discrimination, or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated.
  • Project Requirements: • Projects must be developed partially and presentation along with partial prototype to be submitted on March 17, 2025.
    • The remaining to be developed during the hackathon period (from 9.30 am to 4 pm) on the event day.
    • Projects must align with the theme provided (if applicable).
  • Time Frame: • Teams must complete their projects and submit them within the allocated time.
    • Late submissions will not be accepted.
  • Intellectual Property: • Participants retain ownership of their projects.
    • By submitting a project, participants grant the organizers the right to showcase it for promotional purposes.
  • Judging Criteria: • Projects will be evaluated based on innovation, functionality, feasibility, and presentation.
    • Judges' decisions are final and binding.
  • Certifications: • Participation certificate will be issued for all the registered participants.
  • Tools and Technologies: • Participants may use any programming languages, platforms, or tools unless restrictions are specified.
    • Internet access may be provided by the organizers.
  • Disqualification: • Plagiarism, cheating, or violating hackathon rules will result in disqualification.
    • Respect the hackathon venue and equipment provided; any damage caused may result in penalties.
  • Data and Privacy: • Teams must ensure the ethical use of data and respect user privacy in their projects.
    • Participants are responsible for securing sensitive information in their submissions.
  • Participation Agreement: • By registering, participants agree to comply with the hackathon rules and terms.
    • Any updates to the rules will be communicated to participants in advance.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, established in 2007 with an initial intake of 60 students and a faculty team of four, has blossomed into a distinguished center of excellence in computer science education and research. Currently, the department maintains an impressive enrollment of 664 students, under the guidance of a strong and dedicated teaching and non-teaching faculty comprising 24 experts.

Our department is committed to nurturing excellence in computer science and engineering through a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Recognized as an approved Research Center by Anna University, Chennai, we prioritize cutting-edge research in information and communication engineering and offer honors degrees across diverse domains.

With our state-of-the-art computer labs and centralized monitoring facilities, we strive to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment for our diverse student community.
